The much-anticipated 8th episode of The Eminence in Shadow is finally here, and it’s once again a joy to watch. We got action, thrills, and a lot more from this series, which already had a lot of characters. So, let’s get right into this review without further ado.
Overview of The Eminence in Shadow Episode 8
Since it came out, this series has gotten a lot of attention. Good animation, a likable main character, and a bunch of beautiful anime girls who are sure to start waifu wars are all to thank.
Nakanishi Kazuya is in charge of directing the anime. He is known for his work on Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, Trinity Seven, Strike the Blood, and other shows. The animation is being done by Nexus Studio, which isn’t very well-known in its field but is doing a good job so far.
I’ve done my best to keep the review as free of spoilers as possible, but there are some things I had to talk about to give a good review.
Review and Recap of the Eminence in Shadow Episode 8 – Planning the Next Move
Even though this episode didn’t have a lot of battles, it kept me interested until the end. Right from the start, you can see how broken Cid’s skills are and how strong he is.
But all of his powers can’t stop the child inside of him from wanting to do so many side-character quests. In this episode, he is just having fun pretending to be a mobster and doing everything a mobster would do to stay out of sight. Everyone seems to be paying attention to him, which is bad for him.
In the last episode, Cid was attacked and we thought he was dead. To our surprise, he was able to start his heart beating again with his powers. Even though an artifact makes it so that no one can use their powers in the captured school, Cid gets around this by turning his powers into threads.
Then he goes on a hunt. He kills half of the invaders without even moving his feet from the terrace. He knows that he can’t lose in this world, so he stands above everyone else to enjoy his power.
In the middle, he even teams up with Sherry and comes up with a way to save the whole school without fighting. Sherry is too careless for her own good, and she would have died if Cid hadn’t saved her more than once.
At this point, I was wondering where the real members of Shadow Garden were and if they would show up in this episode. And they did. We saw Nu tell her master Cid where the Shadow Gardens were now and what the plan was for the future.
Other people are ready to attack, but they won’t do so until Cid tells them to. But Cid tells Nu to wait until he figures out what to do about the magic limit with Sherry. So, the Shadow Garden is getting ready to attack when the sun goes down.

Nu told Cid that the fake Shadow Garden members were trained to be foot soldiers for the Cult of Diablos by being brainwashed by the real Shadow Garden members.
At the Bushin Festival Tournament, Cid let Rose Oriana beat him more than once so he could become the most important background character.
Sherry asked Cid to join her for coffee in the cafeteria when they met outside the tournament arena. The second person gave the first person some cookies she had baked herself. Sherry wanted to be friends with Cid, and he agreed, but he used his injuries as an excuse to stay away from her. Cid felt that the magic around the academy was being messed with in his class.
A few fake members of Shadow Garden walked into the classroom and told the students to stay in their seats or else. Rose tried to pull out her sword, but she couldn’t get her magic to work. Cid was hurt when he was trying to keep Rose safe from the enemy.
