At the legendary SCG in Sydney, Australia has won the first T20 against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka would be dissatisfied with their performance because they were unable to achieve what appeared to be an easy goal.

Sri Lanka was confident of winning the opening game of the series after limiting Australia to 149 runs in the first innings while losing 9 wickets, but the visitor’s fortunes were transformed by the dominating performance of team Australia’s bowling unit.

Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa dominated the second innings, taking a total of 7 wickets in the duo’s 8 overs, crushing the Sri Lankan team. The rain had a minor impact on the game, as it merely took away one over from the second innings and decreased the target to 143. By the time the rain interrupted the game, Sri Lanka had lost 5 wickets for a total of 86 runs. The game was long over and appeared one-sided at the end of the 15th over, with Sri Lanka leading 90-7.

Ben Mcdermott has made a successful comeback, scoring 53 runs to help Australia win a tough game against Sri Lanka. . Australia will be delighted to find a positive replacement of veteran David Warner.

Josh Inglis, who made his debut by driving in 23 runs, may get another chance to demonstrate what he’s made of. Although Adam Zampa was named Player of the Match, the squad lauded Josh Hazlewood’s four-wicket haul.
