“I believe my job would be made easier with the talent we have at the Punjab Kings squad this season,” says Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal has a lot of confidence in their young talents.

In a recent official statement, IPL franchisee Punjab Kings have announced their official captain for the year 2022.

Mayank Agarwal will be leading the squad of the Kings, as the close relationship since the year 2018 has been one of the critical factors of choosing him as a captain.

“I have been at Punjab Kings since 2018 and I take a lot of pride in representing this fantastic unit. I am delighted to be allowed to lead the team. I take over this responsibility with utmost sincerity, but at the same time, I believe my job would be made easier with the talent we have at the Punjab Kings squad this season,” stated official skipper Mayank Agarwal after being appointed as the captain for Punjab Kings.

Mayank in his statement mentioned the young talents who can make the skipper’s job easier and Punjab Kings too have shown trust in the young talents throughout the IPL history.

Punjab Kings retained only two players, out of which Mayank was retained to lead the team, and 23-year old Arshdeep Singh was retained as Punjab clearly showed their major trust in promising talents for the team who can invest their efforts for a long-run future of Punjab Kings.

Mentioning some of the prominent young talents, Kagiso Rabada and Liam Livingstone are some crucial talents bought by Punjab Kings. Punjab Kings have majorly invested in fresh talents such as U-19 star players Raj Bawa, consistent performer Shahrukh Khan, promising talent Rahul Chahar, constant and former franchisee player Ishan Porel,
previous year’s prominent performer Harpreet Brar, and many more.

Talking about the experienced and senior players in the team, Mayank Agarwal is one of the promising talents at the age of 31, followed by star batsman Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow. Odean Smith and Liam Livingstone can also add their experience of international cricket to their IPL side.
