“I have good cricket left in me,” says Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane appears to have recovered from his poor showing in South Africa.

Despite widespread criticism, top-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane believes he is returning stronger to the game, explaining that he still has ‘excellent cricket’ in him and that he can improvise well enough to return strong with regular run-scoring performances.

In an episode of the show “Backstage with Boria,” Ajinkya Rahane responds to questions from the host, Mr. Boria Majumdar, about his batting performance in the game and in the nets, saying that he is confident in his ability and that he has good cricket left in him, bringing joy to fans that one of India’s greatest Test batsmen will overcome his poor performance and return stronger.

In the three-match Test series against South Africa in South Africa, Ajinkya Rahane scored only 136 runs in six innings. The hosts won the series 2-1. The dismal performance of Ajinkya in South Africa prompted calls for his removal from the Indian team. During the season, Ajinkya was bowled out for a duck in one of his innings and was also dismissed for 9 runs and 1 run in the third Test against South Africa.
