IND vs SL: India’s Probable XI

Here’s the probable XI for the first T20 between India and Sri Lanka.

India will be looking to continue their winning run in the T20s as the fans and management expect Rohit Sharma to lead dominantly once again, similar to what we witnessed in Kolkata.

Suryakumar Yadav, the man in his prime form, is injured as the reports suggest he got injured while attempting to field in the 3rd T20I against West Indies in Kolkata which caused an unfortunate hairline fracture.

Not only Suryakumar, but Deepak Chahar’s right quadriceps injury keeps him out of the series. India will, unfortunately, be playing without these two prime players, who performed extremely well in the last series.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been rested and with so many changes in the squad for the Sri Lankan series, it will be exciting to watch Rohit’s experiments on young players and how he utilises them.

Probable XI:

1. Rohit Sharma (C)
2. Ishan Kishan (WK)
3. Ruturaj Gaikwad
4. Sanju Samson
5. Shreyas Iyer
6. Venkatesh Iyer
7. Ravindra Jadeja
8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
9. Harshal Patel
10. Mohd. Siraj
11. Jasprit Bumrah (VC)
