Virat Kohli was sent back by Embuldeniya’s miracle ball after bowling up out, clean through the stumps.
Kohli looks around in surprise before beginning the lengthy trip back. The crowd is surprised, but they swiftly congregate to cheer Kohli off the field. Flighted delivery lands on the excellent length area, and Kohli is hanging back to defend; he has the line covered, but the ball turns away, passes the outside edge, and hits the top of the off-stump. Embuldeniya got the length correct on just that moment. It was neither full nor short, and Kohli paid the price for trying to play it off the backfoot.
India is 170/3, with Rishabh Pants as the new batsman and Vihari playing well.
