Deepak Hooda, a promising all-rounder, made his debut for India against the West Indies in the first ODI at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, and the excitement continued when he took his first international wicket against the visitors in the second ODI on Wednesday.

Deepak Hooda’s journey to be able to play with such senior players has been emotional, and his hard work and perseverance over the years has helped him reach his dream hat. Deepak Hooda revealed that he always wanted to receive the debut cap from either MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli.

The BCCI published a video of Deepak Hooda’s interview on Twitter, and in the ‘candid talk with presenter’ Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda opened up about his feelings, saying that receiving the debut cap from renowned players like MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli was a boyhood goal of his.

Deepak Hooda went on to claim that he continues to study every day and attempts to correct his mistakes, for which he avoids all distractions and focuses solely on the game.

“Good things take time, but be prepared,” Deepak Hooda says in an entertaining conversation with host Suryakumar Yadav hosted by the BCCI.

Deepak commits to keep improving his game in every game without worrying about the results because he would be concentrating on the process rather than the result.

Deepak Hooda says, “It’s an honour to share the dressing room with great players like Rahul sir (Rahul Dravid), Virat, and Rohit.”
