Raising a benchmark with his captaincy in the recent Ashes series, Pat Cummins has got all it wants to break into the playing legends. His ability to swing the ball at 140-150 kph and beyond makes him one of the lethal bowlers in the crunch situation. The Australian pacer can be quite handy to lead the bowling attack for his enormous experience while playing for Australia and in IPL. He has appeared for KKR in the previous edition of IPL and was considered to be the backbone of their bowling attack. Much to one’s surprise after he was released by the franchise but only to be known that he is bought again by the KKR franchise at a whopping amount of INR 7 Crore 25 Lakhs after an intense bidding competition with Gujrat Titans. The legendary bowler has, however, faced a fifty percent cut down on his auction price last year of 15 Crore.
He has, so far, averaged 30.13 while claiming 38 wickets at an economy rate of 8.23 producing the best spell of his career with the figure of 4/34. Back to KKR, he should again become the leader of the bowling pack.
