Blood and Water Season 4: Expected Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything We Know So Far

Blood and Water Season 4: Expected Release Date

When it first premiered in 2020 on Netflix, the hit South African television series Blood & Water quickly garnered a devoted fanbase and quickly became a phenomenon that could be seen in its entirety. The second season, which aired in 2021, increased the intensity of the shocking moments, and the most recent episode of the third season, which was just broadcast, made the stakes even higher.

To refresh your mind, the plot of the teen drama centers on a young woman named Puleng Khumalo who lives in Cape Town. Puleng believes that Pankhurst College’s star swimmer Fikele Bhele is actually her long-lost sister Phumelele Khumalo, who was kidnapped when she was a baby 17 years ago.

Throughout the course of the third season, the sisters continued to be engulfed in a web of secrecy, mystery, and, of course, blood, leaving viewers with even more unanswered concerns. But will it be making a return for another adventure?

Join us here at Digital Spy as we discuss the upcoming fourth season of Blood & Water on Netflix and disclose all you need to know about it.

Blood & Water Season 4 Expected Release Date: When Will It Air?

Although Netflix has not yet confirmed whether the program will return for a second season, there is currently no need to be alarmed. Its return is based on ratings, just like the majority of Netflix programs. So, dear reader, it’s up to you to settle in and click “next episode.”

Blood and Water Season 4: Expected Release Date

If season four gets the green light, we’re probably looking at a release in the winter of 2023, which could even be pushed into the first half of 2024. Everything depends on when that important renewal announcement is made.

Blood & Water Season 4 Cast: Who’s in It?

Blood & Water wouldn’t be the same without its leading sister duo, so it’s safe to assume that Ama Qamata and Khosi Ngema will reprise their roles as Puleng and Fikile in season four. But who will they be joined by? Expect to see the majority of the following:

Thabang Molaba as Karabo ‘KB’ Molapo

  • Dillon Windvogel as Wade Daniels
  • Gretel Fincham as Reece van Rensburg
  • Arno Greeff as Chris Ackerman
  • Mekaila Mathys as Tahira Kahn
  • Natasha Thahane as Wendy Dlamini
  • Katishka Kiara as Pauline
  • Odwa Gwanya as Siya Khumalo

Given that Puleng’s father Julius (Get more Sithole) died in a vehicle accident, we’re less likely to see him, however, he could appear in flashbacks.

Blood & Water Season 4 Plot: What Would We Expect?

Almost all loose threads were resolved in the season three finale. Puleng jumped ship and escaped, Fikile survived owing to a liver transplant from her biological father, and Sam was discovered and reunited with his mother, Janet.

The human trafficking ring was also planning to close down the cell Lisbeth ran once she was apprehended while attempting to depart the country.

But, of course, nothing is ever that simple. The operation’s ring leaders reveal that there are further cells placed throughout the city in the episode’s concluding seconds. On one of the computer screens, we see a picture of an unconscious Sam.

There appears to be more to Sam’s absence than meets the eye, therefore we’d anticipate him to play a significant role in both being a target of and bringing down the trafficking ring once and for all in season four.

Blood & Water Season 3 Review & Rating

Finally, a unique television drama series based in an African high school! This was a pleasant surprise for me, and I proceeded to watch the entire film in one sitting. I was astounded by how many diverse aspects of South African culture we were exposed to, including music, political issues, and a variety of languages.

The show itself is very easy to watch, however, there are some instances that will have you yelling at the television, but keep in mind that it’s all in good fun.

I’m looking forward to the next fourth season. I, like everyone else, desired that some secrets be made public as soon as possible, but screenplays and television shows are not written or edited in this manner.

The audience is kept interested and engaged by a fantastic ensemble of characters, each with their own distinct personality. I only wish the series had more episodes. The technique of categorizing a piece of media based on its suitability for audiences of varied ages is known as age rating.

The television show “Blood & Water” has a 15 rating for its target audience. We strongly encourage anyone under the age of 15 to avoid it since it includes mature content.
