Inside Job Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Update and Where to Watch

The Inside Job season 2 release date will bring back the hit animated Netflix series – here’s all we know about it.

When will Inside Job season 2 premiere? Netflix’s adult sci-fi workplace comedy debuted in 2019, following a spate of popular adult animated programs from the streaming service. Notable examples are BoJack Horseman, Big Mouth, and Disenchantment.

The author of Gravity Falls, Shion Takeuchi, and the show’s creator, Alex Hirsch, introduced us to Cognito Inc. in Inside Job. The organization’s mission was to oversee global conspiracies and prevent the world from collapsing as a result. In the first season, we met the main character, Reagan Ridley, and learned in over ten episodes about her anti-social and incredibly uncomfortable ways as she navigated life as a robotics engineer with her dysfunctional team.

And Netflix meant dysfunctional when it said so. The squad is comprised of mismatched characters, including a psychic mushroom and a man-dolphin supersoldier. We know that Shion has a multi-year contract with Netflix, so let’s discuss where he’s headed with Inside Job season 2. Join us as we guess on the release date, trailer, actors, and narrative of the upcoming comedy series.

Inside Job Season 2 Release Date

As of October 2022, Netflix has not set a date for the release of Inside Job season 2. Nonetheless, the streaming service announced during its annual Geeked Week event in June 2022 that Inside Job will return for a second season, or “Part 2.”

It is hardly a surprise as the streaming service bought 20 episodes in April 2019. We’ve only seen 10 so far in the first season, so we’ve been waiting for ten more, which are now on their way.

The whole first season of Inside Job is available exclusively on Netflix. And, as we said earlier, so can Netflix’s other terrific adult animated comedies, such as Big Mouth and Human Resources, the spin-off to Big Mouth. Netflix just renewed both of these programs.

Inside Job season 2 Expected Cast

If you didn’t already know, Inside Job boasts an impressive cast. While we do not know for definite who will return for the second season, we are quite certain that the following will be back:

  • Lizzy Caplan as Reagan Ridley
  • Christian Slater as Rand Ridley
  • Clark Duke as Brett Hand
  • Tisha Campbell as Gigi
  • Brett Gelman as Magic Myc
  • Andy Daly as J.R. Scheimpough

Inside Job season 2 Plot and Story

After Rand Ridley (Christian Slater) was restored as CEO of Cognito Inc., the season one (or part one) cliffhanger offered Inside Job fans optimism that the show would return for a second season. As it depicts the opening moments of Part 2, Episode 1, the official teaser confirms that events would resume up where we left off.

Reagan Ridley (Lizzy Caplan) is observed reacting negatively to the news that her father, Rand, has recovered his position as CEO. Given that she believed she would steer Cognito on a new path, she was misled by the Shadow Board and relegated to a staff position.

Reagan returns to the workplace with Brett Hand (Clark Duke) and discovers that her father has chosen to take control of the direction of Cognito Inc. and oppose the mysterious Robes.

A hologram of Rand arrives in the lobby and declares, “From now on, we will follow my orders. Cognito will recapture its former splendor. Then Cognito will regain its ex-wife, its children, and its original, gorgeous hairline.”

In addition to plainly retaining its focus on adult humor, there are hints of a great deal more conspiracies and the resulting mayhem around each hypothesis. So, we’ll resume our investigation into the mysteries of this deep-state organization from where we left off.
