Keyshia Cole Net Worth: Keyshia Cole was born Keyshia Myeshia Johnson in Oakland, California on October 15, 1981. Francine Lons and boxing trainer Virgil Hunter are her biological parents.

Keyshia did not meet Hunter or learn who her true father was until 2016, when she was 34 years old. Francine reportedly had six children with six different dads, and Keyshia was adopted by family friends Leon and Yvonne Cole when she was two years old.

Cole and her brother Sean met MC Hammer and recorded music with him when they were 12 years old. Tupac Shakur encouraged Keyshia to participate with him on an upcoming project in 1996, but she never had the opportunity because Tupac was tragically slain that evening.

At the age of 18, she relocated to Los Angeles and began collaborating with Bay Area artists such as Messy Marv and D’Wayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Tone. Keyshia was signed to A&M Records after being introduced to Ron Fair of A&M Records, who later became her mentor.
