“We are fortunate. We get to create a show about a city we adore, starring our family and friends. “The extraordinary adventures of ordinary people bring joy to the South Side,” Salahuddin and Riddle said. “We set out to make each episode a unique and unexpected journey.” We have no idea where our characters will end up in season three, and we can’t wait to find out.”
“To be able to bring this world and these characters to life has been a true joy,” Suzanna Makkos, EVP, Original Comedy and Adult Animation, HBO Max, added.
Many people believe that South Side is about the American dream, and the stories that Bashir and Diallo have created fully embody that dream, with razor-sharp wit and refreshing cultural commentary. When I say, ‘it’s time for the percolator,’ I believe I speak for everyone at HBO Max.
