Fans of This Is Us who have been longing for the return of Justin Hartley have something special to look forward to this month in the form of a Christmas gift from Netflix. The holiday film The Noel Diary has the actor in the lead role. The film is a romantic comedy that follows the story of renowned author Jake Turner (Hartley), who returns to his hometown after the passing of his mother.
As he is cleaning up the house where he grew up, he comes across some startling revelations concerning the history of his family. The first screening of the film is going to take place on November 24.
Even while the majority of the film features the typical cheery tone of the Christmas movie genre that is present during most of the scenes, the trailer for The Noel Diary suggests that the movie will not shy away from issues like pain and loss.
After Rachel (Barrett Doss) enters the story and fuels her own purpose of discovering why she was abandoned by her mother, the trailer gives the impression that the story will also delve rather deeply into other topics as well. In fact, the trailer suggests that the story will do so.
In spite of its more dramatic aspects, there is also a significant amount of potential for romance: as is common knowledge, sadness enjoys the company of others. In this way, Jake and Rachel will become acquainted with one another, engage in some lighthearted flirtation, and embark on a Christmas adventure together in which they will uncover all of the secrets kept by their parents and other relatives.
In addition, the two will have frank conversations about love, relationships, and the expectations that people have of one another. All of this, of course, up until the pivotal moment, which appears in the shape of a mysterious diary that completely alters the rules of the game.
Justin Hartley, Barrett Doss, Bonnie Bedelia, Treat Williams, Essence Atkins, and James Remar portrayed the key parts in the American romantic comedy film The Noel Diary. James Remar also played a supporting role in the film.
Charles Shyer was the one who directed the movie, and Margret H. Huddleston, Stephanie Slack, and Ridoyanul Hoq were the ones who produced it.
