“Her, Armed with Sorrow Sore” continues the search for missing adolescents in the Oakland region. Poppy (Octavia Spencer) is devastated to learn of the death of sixteen-year-old Drea Spivey, and consequently decides to investigate her murder.

The local police are more concerned with locating Emily Mills, so they leave Poppy to conduct her own investigation. It’s a relatively slow-paced instalment with an odd twist to keep viewers interested.

What Happened in Truth Be Told Season 3 Episode 2?

Poppy attends the funeral of Drea. Principal Eva comes to her defence after being verbally attacked for not doing more to save Drea. However, Poppy is suspicious of Eva, who was discovered at the crime scene. Eva admits that she was visiting a different student whose parents are in the country illegally.

Markus and Poppy inspect the room of Drea. Poppy discovers a purse that contains a burner phone. On the Questeur app, they locate Drea’s contacts. Poppy suspects that one of these regulars could be the murderer. Shreve (Poppy’s father) tries unsuccessfully to gain the support of Capstone members.

His hopes of collaborating with mayoral candidate Andrew Finney are also dashed. Shreve accompanies Markus and Poppy as they search for a motel room for Drea. They discover a needle, but no additional evidence. They visit the adjacent diner and question the prostitutes there.

The licence plate of the man who was with Drea the night she died, IRX4You, matches the name of one of Drea’s Questeur app contacts. Aames is reintroduced into the Emily Mills investigation. He informs the parents that Emily’s car has been located and that her blood has also been found in the vehicle. Aames inquires whether they have any enemies.

Victor is mentioned as a business associate by Emily’s parents. Eva is observed kissing a stranger in the parking lot of a nightclub. The woman inquires about Eva’s real name, referring to her as Bottom 2 Top Energy. This is another contact found in Drea’s address book. Poppy and Markus visit Drea’s regular to inquire about the IRX4You licence plate.

Eva asks to tag along. The man acknowledges having seen Drea but has a solid alibi for the time of her death. He mentions hearing Drea and a man named Trey arguing. Aames provides Poppy with the address of a man named Trey obtained from the police database.

When they visit Trey’s house, Rochelle, a prostitute, instead answers the door. The same woman informed Poppy about IRX4You. She lied and attempted to misdirect Poppy.

When Poppy discovers that she is wearing Drea’s necklace, Aames arrests her. Poppy discovers a laptop containing numerous video files in the residence. One of the clips depicts Trini (Markus’s daughter) and her boyfriend Aubrey engaging in sexual activity. Markus watches the video.
