Christian Eriksen reportedly offered six-month contract by Brentford

Reports in England say that Christian Eriksen has been offered a route back into top flight football with English Premier League side Brentford offering the Dane a six-month contract.

Eriksen collapsed during the European Championship with heart issues and because of a pacemaker, and Serie A guidelines, left his club at the time Inter Milan.

Yet he has expressed he wants to play in the forthcoming World Cup – and a featuring role for Brentford to prove his fitness might be an attractive proposition for a player who already played the English capital during his time at Tottenham.

“My goal is to play in the World Cup in Qatar,” Eriksen told Danish broadcaster DR this month. “I want to prove I have moved on and that I can play for the national team again. It’s up to the manager to assess my level but my heart is not an obstacle.”
