Nice manager Christophe Galtier outsmarted Paris Saint-Germain again as his side won a tense penalty shootout 6-5 to reach the quarterfinals of the French Cup following a 0-0 away draw.

Holder PSG’s gone for a record record-extending 15th trophy and an eighth consecutive final fell the short at Parc des Princes against visiting Galtier’s expertly organized side.

Lionel Messi started up front subsequent to recovering from the Covid, yet he had little impact in the first half for Pochettino’s side.

Left winger Justin Kluivert had a shot saved for Nice not long after the break and PSG midfielder Marco Verratti curled a shot over from a fair position halfway through the second period.

Mbappe and Nice’s Amine Gouiri have been in fine form up front yet neither had chances to score.

Both scored in the shootout, nonetheless, but after Dante dinked the ball in with a splendid Panenka-style kick, former PSG goalkeeper Marcin Bulka kept out midfielder Xavi Simons to give Nice a major victory.
