According to a leak, Cyberpunk 2077 may be coming to PlayStation 5 shortly

An early presence of Cyberpunk 2077 in the PlayStation retail database implies a mid-February to early March release date.

A next-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077, designed for the PlayStation 5, might be in the works. An early appearance of the game in the Playstation shop database suggests a Q1 2022 release.

The rumour was started by the Twitter account Playstation Game Size, which has a reputation for supplying reliable information regarding future releases’ download size and release date. Their most recent tweet revealed new PS5 cover art as well as a release date range of mid-February to early March 2022.

The dates correspond exactly to CD Projekt Red’s plan, which predicted a next-gen update in early 2022. At the time, Adam Kiciski, President and Joint CEO, also promised a long-overdue big update that would address the game’s key flaws across all platforms.

Those who buy Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 or Xbox One will get a free update when they upgrade to the new platforms. Furthermore, the company plans to release a next-generation edition of The Witcher 3 in Q2 2022. The update features graphic improvements aimed at a younger audience, as well as in-game objects inspired by Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ series.

The road to Cyberpunk 2077 has not been easy. Numerous people enjoyed it when it was initially launched in 2013 for its highly story-driven open-world and unique futuristic elements. The game was meant to be launched on April 16, 2020, but it required more production time, causing repeated delays. It was beset with game-breaking bugs and difficulties when it initially came out, causing Sony to withdraw the game from its Playstation store.

Over time, the game’s user rating has grown significantly, and it is already rated “Mostly Positive.” It had a significant increase in popularity in November, courtesy to Steam’s Autumn Sale, which reduced its price by half.
