Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 6 Review

At the end of Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 6, Jang Uk (Lee Jae-Wook) used his powers to stop the immediate threat from Cheonbugwan and help his friend Seo Yul (Hwang Min-Hyun). The genius mage had passed out after using all of his strength to fight the bad mages in the gambling den. The blood parasite feeding on his energy core also contributed to his death.

This also meant that Seo Yul couldn’t save So-i, and it looked like she died because Yeom-su (Cha Yong-Hak) beat her so badly. From now on, it will be interesting to see how this could make things worse between Songrim and Cheonbugwan, especially if Seo Yul can’t get the care he needs for his illness. Jang Uk could also get in trouble for using his great powers without permission.

In another place, Bu-Yeon (Ko Yoon-Jung) has kept putting together pieces of her past, but she still can’t see that she is Naksu. Jang Uk seems to be slowly figuring out what’s going on, and since the secret of the Jinyowon’s priestess could still be out there to be revealed, you wouldn’t bet against the monster hunter finding out the truth soon.
