The Glory Kdrama Recap and Highlights

The Glory Kdrama Recap and Highlights: Part 1 of the Korean drama The Glory on Netflix is a pretty straightforward story about getting revenge. It tells the story of Moon Dong-Eun, a woman in her mid-30s who was constantly bullied as a child by the rich kids of powerful parents who the authorities couldn’t or wouldn’t touch. After going to the police and the faculty with her complaints, Dong-Eun realized that she would have to come up with her own way to get revenge. After wishing she was dead for a while, she decided to get her revenge and spend the rest of her life making her attackers pay for what they did.

The Glory Plot Recap

The show is about Dong-Eun, who is played by Song Hye Kyo from Encounter, Descendants of the Sun. She has painful memories of being bullied and getting hurt at school. 18 years later, she starts getting back at the people who hurt her by bringing them and everyone around them to the edge of ruin.
Yeo-Jung, who is played by Lee Do Hyun from the shows Youth of May and Sweet Home, is another person who dies in a sad story. Dong-Eun and Yeo-Jung get mixed up, either by accident or on purpose, and plan their revenge together.

The Glory Series Episodes Series Highlights

In the first few minutes of the first episode, the story seemed to set up a sad hook to get people to root for Dong-plan Eun to get back the glory of her youth that she never got to experience. From there, it could be finished in one sitting, so if you have trouble stopping yourself from binge-watching, you’ve been warned.

The Glory Kdrama Recap and Highlights

With their top-notch skills, Writer Kim and Director Ahn changed the way revenge-themed dramas are made. It takes a strong stand on thinking about how the victim of school violence feels, which is different from how recent dramas encourage people to forgive and forget.

The story was told from Dong-point Eun’s of view as if she were writing letters to a close friend she openly dislikes. The way the series went gave her every reason to get revenge. Even if it will take a long time and be hard.

The series has an interesting flow that makes it easy to fall asleep, but the excitement comes from the main character’s direct attacks and how her enemies react to them. So, these interactions need a drive that keeps you interested.

Characters Performance of The Glory

The Glory is very brave to go in a different direction with the colors of the characters in the story. One that pays off because it fits in with the dark but healing tone of the show.

The Glory shows in a practical way that people who have been bullied a lot will always have a scar from it. For Dong-Eun, it even gave her a reason to keep living. All of Dong-plans Eun’s are connected to her goal of making Yeon-life jin’s difficult.

Her confidence in telling the people who hurt her that she will get revenge is so different from other K-Drama characters who want to get even. Her mission and the fun and mysterious people who help her are interesting parts of the series.

When you look closely, her carefully thought-out plan is mostly about taking advantage of the bullies’ bad attitudes. She is just waiting for the broken group of friends who hurt her to destroy themselves. In the end, her goal is to leave Yeon-jin alone, without anyone to love her, and with nothing.

Surprisingly, the small cast knew their parts well and made sure that the characters they played stood out. Song Hye Kyo did a great job of making a dark character with a touching story that reminds us to always choose to live, even when things seem hopeless.

Lee Do Hyun is a great actor who really knows how to make people believe him. Even when his story isn’t completely clear, he shows that his characters are happy and unconcerned. Im Ji Yeon also played the story’s worth-hating villain, which showed how versatile she is.

Jung Ji So and Shin Ye Eun should also get credit for playing young versions of Dong-Eun and Yeon-jin, respectively.

The Glory Episodes Series Insights

The storyline of The Glory is so painful that it seems like a dream. The series would bring up a healthy conversation about school violence because of how it makes you think about the pain of unrepentant physical assault and emotional trauma.

The Glory Kdrama Recap and Highlights

Why should someone who has been wronged want revenge? Why do bullies pick on other students at school? In one scene, Dong-Eun talks about how people who cause pain know it will hurt, but they still choose to do it. Often, these people in power would say it was a “youth mistake.” Sad to say, people who didn’t deserve their bad behavior would see it as a “youth nightmare.”

Not only that, but the series also shows why school violence should never be tolerated. This will hopefully make parents and other responsible adults more aware of the need to protect victims and get juvenile offenders back on track.

People have different ways of dealing with bad emotional damage, and the drama showed that. It also showed how giving in to corruption makes the feeling of being in a bottomless pit go away.

In particular, the moment when young Dong-Eun found comfort in the cold snow because it helped her burns heal is a touching one that shows an important truth about life. Most of the time, the saddest times in life are faced alone.

The Glory did a good job of setting up the story and making a clear offer that no viewer could refuse. That is, to see if Dong-complicated Eun’s gamble would help her get her honor back in the last part of the series.

The second part of the show, which will air in March, will also explain what Yeo-real Jeong’s goal is and what his connection is to So-hee, the girl Yeon-gang jin’s bullied before Dong-Eun. Also, the person who is secretly helping Dong-Eun will be found out.

How Many Episodes of the Glory Kdrama Are There?

The Glory is a good show all the way around. It is an 8-part Korean revenge story that anyone who has been picked on can relate to. I don’t know how Korean and American high schools compare when it comes to bullying, but from what I’ve seen here, Korean teens seem really mean and cringe-worthy.
