Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (born June 28, 1991) represents both Manchester City of the English Premier League and his country of birth Belgium at the international level. Pundits have frequently referred to him as a “complete footballer,” and he is usually considered one of the top players in the world.

Club Career

In 1997, De Bruyne made his professional debut with KVV Drongen, his local team. In 2005, he joined Gent and relocated to Genk. He had been there for two years. While still in the club’s junior system, De Bruyne excelled and was eventually promoted to the main team in 2008. De Bruyne was a fan of Liverpool and Michael Owen, according to an interview with his junior club.

On May 9, 2009, De Bruyne made his debut for Genk in a 3–0 loss against Charleroi.

On 7 February 2010, De Bruyne scored his first goal for Genk in a 1–0 win over Standard Liège.

In a 1–2 away win against Mons on February 18, 2012, De Bruyne scored his first goal after his agreed transfer to Chelsea. A three-time Belgium youth international captained by De Bruyne. Personal life

Born in Burundi and having resided in the Ivory Coast, De Bruyne’s mother is Belgian. Its hometown of Drongen is in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium, a sub-municipality of the larger Ghent.  De Bruyne is fluent in Dutch, French, English, and German, as well as has a working knowledge of Spanish.  De Bruyne and Michèle Lacroix have been dating since 2014. The pair tied the knot in June of 2017 and now has three kids.
