Mark Zuckerberg and his family live in a 5,000-square-foot Palo Alto home that he acquired in 2011 for $7 million, making it his primary residence. But he also owns the surrounding residences, forming a private enclosure around this “modest” mansion. Four neighboring houses were bought and purchased by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in 2012. As a result, he shelled out $43 million to acquire houses in the area. With the intention of ultimately demolishing and rebuilding them, he leased the residences back to their prior owners and began the process. The city rejected his first design, so he came up with a new one in which he would refurbish two of the homes and build two single-story residences instead.
