The Academy Award-winning epic adventure ‘Avatar,’ which was released in theatres 13 years ago, is due to return on September 23rd this year. The picture will be re-released in Indian theatres three months before the debut of its sequel, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water.’
The sequel will be released in theatres worldwide on December 16, 2022.

So, if you were puzzled about the characters and their tale, or if you missed the first half of the film, you can now see it in theatres starting September 23.

As previously stated, the highly anticipated sequel ‘Avatar: The Way of Water will be released on December 16, this year.

The 2009 film will be screened in theatres for two weeks beginning September 23rd in “all formats,” including IMAX, 4K / HDR, and, of course, 3D.

The second installment, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water,’ will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam by 20th Century Studios.

The film’s teaser was released in May of this year. ‘Avatar: The Way of Water,’ set more than a decade after the events of the first film, tells the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet star in ‘Avatar: The Way of Water.’

“Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family, the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure,” according to Disney’s official synopsis.

Winslet learned to hold her breath underwater for the role, breaking Tom Cruise’s record for the longest underwater breath-hold in a feature film, according to Variety.

Winslet told the magazine about reuniting with Cameron so many years after ‘Titanic,’ “Jim and I are completely different people than we were 26 years ago. He’s calmer now, and I’m definitely more hyperactive!”
