There are just as many happy and hopeful scenes between the characters of “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” and “Chicago Med” in the “One Chicago” series as there are sad ones. For every major character that leaves a show, there are usually new characters who come in to make fans excited. Then there are the many relationships that have grown over the years.
“Chicago Med” characters April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) and Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), who fans call “Chexton,” have a special place in the hearts of those who ship them. With Tee’s departure from the show coming up soon, people are quickly turning their attention to their future together.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief when it comes to Chexton, as it was revealed in Season 8, Episode 8 titled, “Everyone’s Fighting a Battle You Know Nothing About,” that Dr. Choi and April will be getting married, with the wedding likely taking place in Tee’s farewell episode, which is scheduled to air on December 7, 2022. In late November, a wedding picture portraying the couple set to exchange vows was also posted. In anticipation of the couple’s wedding, the shot and the accompanying elements have admirers swooning.
Fans of Ethan and April are thrilled as Chexton prepares to tie the wedding
“Could Be the Beginning of Something New” is the title of the ninth episode of Season 8 of “Chicago Med,” which contains indications about the upcoming wedding of Dr. Ethan Choi and April Sexton. In the lead-up to the episode, a sumptuous and touching image depicting the wedding ceremony between the two characters has been circulating.
The image indicates, among other facts, that the long-running pair will have a church wedding, in keeping with April’s strong religious ties (via People). Twitter user @51ninna said, “Fans are expressing equal levels of joy and heartfelt affection in response to the news.” “My #Chexton children are getting hitched [tear and heart emojis].
I can’t believe I’ve finally reached my #ChicagoMed objective [love emoji].” Fan @TeeshaWills commented on this enthusiasm, “They [April and Ethan] look absolutely stunning! Genuine expectancy exists.”
As for the future of the newlyweds, Chexton has nothing but good fortune in store. With Brian Tee’s departure from “Chicago Med” this season, it appears that their narrative will continue off-screen.
Along with the release of the wedding photo, co-showrunner Andrew Schneider told People, “They’re launching a mobile clinic so they can provide first-rate medical treatment to underprivileged Chicago communities.” Schneider went on to inform the newspaper that the couple will remain in Chicago, but that we will have to picture their joyful new life together, which is a wonderful plot development for such a sweet “Chicago Med” romance.
