After facing discrimination in the beauty profession for being plus-size, Lopez opened Babydoll Beauty Couture, a salon for plus-size women.
According to WE TV’s official synopsis, the show also followed the ladies who work at the salon and “are committed to making everyone look and feel beautiful, regardless of size – but with their loud and different personalities, conflict is never far away.”
Earlier this year, Super Sized Salon launched on a cable network.
