At the Sarajevo Film Pageant that will take place this year, Jesse Eisenberg is going to be presented with a unique prize that is going to be known as the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award.

A special award will be given to Mads Mikkelsen as part of the festival’s honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award ceremony in honour of his commitment to the art of cinema, as was said in an announcement that was made the previous week at the festival.
On August 14, his award will be handed, and during the ceremony, there will also be a special screening of the Danish actor’s film, The search. The screening will be a part of the program. Even though Mikkelsen was given this prize in 2020, he was unable to attend the ceremony in person due to the pandemic that swept the world at the time.

BH Films is an annual film festival that is being held during the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival and will feature a total of 54 films. These films will include six narrative feature length films, 12 documentary feature length films, 25 short stories and short documentaries, and 11 student films. BH Films is organized by the Association of Filmmakers in Federal Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to the Student Competition segment of the program, one of the most exciting aspects of the event is the chance to watch and listen to films that were created by students who are now enrolled in film faculties and academies in BiH.
There are 11 films competing in this year’s competition for one of three awards that will be given out by the cinema schools and academies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These categories are as follows: Best Student Film, Special Jury Prize, and Special Mention.
Actress Aida Bukva, screenwriter and playwright Adnan Lugoni, and director Marko ipka will serve as this year’s members of the jury, and their decisions will determine which student film from Bosnia and Herzegovina is deemed to be the most outstanding. This year’s edition of the festival will play host to 24 world premieres as well as nine international debuts thanks to the BH Film program.
The mission of the BH Film program is to promote cinema from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it also serves as a crucial forum for filmmakers from all over the world to showcase their work.
