Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has a bisexual daughter who has publicly expressed her opposition to her father’s Republican views and anti-LGBTQ stance. Caroline Cruz, then 13 years old, opened up about being the senator’s daughter in a now-deleted TikTok video. “A lot of people judge me on first impressions based on him,” she explained.
“But I really disagree with most of his views,” Cruz said, revealing the perks she and her sister received, including “candy and gifts in the mail.” Ted Cruz is the father of two daughters. And then there are the rare occasions when we get to go on vacation.
“Like if I want to go on a walk through the neighborhood or to my friend’s house or something,” Cruz said, “I have to have like two security guards behind me the entire time.”
Cruz also stated that her father’s public relations team altered her clothing in the family’s most recent holiday card. Despite Cruz’s claim that she was wearing a crop top, the final image clearly shows her wearing a regular knit top.
“They literally made my shirt longer,” she told her audience, before holding up a mirror to reveal the truth about her crop top. After her father, Ted Cruz, was identified as her father’s daughter, social media users began screenshotting Caroline Cruz’s profile, which highlighted her pronouns as “she/her” as well as “bi.”
Cruz implied that her infamously anti-LGBTQ father would support her when she was asked about her sexuality.
