Jeremy Caroll

Tell Me Lies, a new show that debuted on Hulu, is setting the tone for fall television, which is just getting underway even though summer is winding down.

The novel of the same name written by Carola Lovering in 2018 serves as the inspiration for the highly anticipated drama. It is scheduled to begin broadcasting early the next month, and actress Emma Roberts has joined the production team in the role of executive producer.

The connection between the two main characters, Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White), is described as “tumultuous but intoxicating” in an official synopsis provided by Hulu. The TV show will track the progression of their relationship over the course of eight years.

In the show, the two main characters are involved in a partnership that cannot be described as anything other than unhealthy. It demonstrates how “apparently regular actions can lead to irrevocable repercussions” at a “formative age.”

Release Date

According to harpersbazaar Tell Me Lies will premiere on Hulu on September 7 new episodes will be available on Hulu every Wednesday thereafter.

There is no denying the love that they have for one another; nonetheless, their relationship is rife with deceit and even has some elements of gaslighting.

Because of this, she is led down a road that ultimately leads her in the wrong direction. “Tell Me Lies” is about relationships that are unhealthy for us and how we hurt ourselves when we choose the wrong people, the author Carola Lovering said in a statement to Cosmopolitan. “Tell Me Lies” was written by Carola Lovering.
