In the latest teaser for “M3GAN,” an artificial intelligence-powered, infantile robot doll craves blood. The film was produced by the acclaimed horror production firm Blumhouse in close collaboration with horror master James Wan, whose credits include “Saw,” “Insidious,” and “The Conjuring.”
Allison Williams portrays Gemma, a roboticist at a toy firm who programs the artificial intelligence doll, in “M3GAN.” Gemma entrusts the doll with protecting her bereaved niece Cady, portrayed by Violet McGraw, whose parents were killed in a car accident.

Initially, Cady and M3GAN get along well, but when Cady is tormented by an insensitive boy, the doll’s violent side emerges. Amie Donald supplies the child’s appearance, while Jenna Davis gives her voice. Ronny Chieng, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Lori Dungey, and Stephane Garneau-Monten also star in the film.
The film is produced by Jason Blum and Wan and is directed by Gerard Johnstone from an Akela Cooper script. Initially, the script was based on a tale by Cooper and Wan.
Atomic Monster is produced by Universal Pictures and Blumhouse in collaboration with Divide/Conquer. Williams, Mark Katchur, Ryan Turek, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath are the film’s executive producers.
