Ever since Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have been dropped from the squad, there have been speculations on the players who could replace the duo. However, the replacement is being welcomed in form of the players who are already holding experience in playing for the country. Shreyas Iyer had scored a hundred in his debut match and will be expected to deliver his best when he will be welcome into the test side. Wasim Jaffer, one of the brilliant cricketing minds and a former team India player, has suggested Vihar take the position of Pujara and bat at 3 while pushing Shreyas Iyer down the order on 5th after Virat who will bat at 4th.

The new middle-order will have all eyes on them with Virat being a core of the line-up. Hanuma Vihari will look to cement his place in the side as the tem is presently under transition phase. Shreyas Iyer will look to accelerate the momentum he is carrying from the Sri Lankan series.
