Mick Foley believes Cesaro’s departure from WWE is ‘The Wrestling World’s Gain’

Cesaro’s reign in WWE has come to an end after more than a decade. Cesaro’s most recent contract has expired, and he has not agreed to a new deal with the company. Many people were taken aback by this, including his WWE colleagues and fans all over the world.

However, WWE legend Mick Foley is eager to see what happens next, after WWE failed to recognise Cesaro’s potential.

Following Cesaro’s departure from WWE, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley chimed in with his thoughts on Cesaro – none of which should come as a surprise to anyone. He’d say the following about Cesaro.

“I’m really disappointed because I had been one of Cesaro’s biggest proponents for a long time ever since I saw him working in the independents in the early 2000s. I saw him in Ring of Honor, 2005 or 2006.

Man, Vince McMahon just never saw in him what I saw and what so many of you saw, which was a world champion. But in this case, I feel like WWE’s loss is the wrestling world’s gain. Because this guy, Cesaro, can work anywhere in the world. While AEW would obviously be a great destination for him, I’d love to see him just venture out.”

Cesaro’s AEW debut appears to be a foregone conclusion right now. While fans online will bemoan the addition of another ‘WWE guy’ to the AEW roster, Cesaro remains one of the best professional wrestlers in the world today.
With the Face of The Revolution Ladder Match just over a week away, AEW has a perfect opportunity to debut Cesaro.
